The Daily Prophet is the only wizarding newspaper in Britain and its headquarters can found in Diagon Alley. The paper is delivered daily by Owl Post to nearly every wizarding household in the UK. Payment is effected by placing coins in the pouch tied to the delivery owl's leg. Occasionally (when something particularly interesting or exciting happens, such as the illegal flight of a Ford Anglia across the English countryside) an Evening Prophet edition would be rushed out.
The News Hound was proud to produce these newspapers as part of a Media Studies project for Year 9 of a North London High School. Much was learned as the creative young minds managed all aspects of the project from art-working and Image manipulation, through the entire production process and eventual despatch of the finished products.
This introduction of the children to the many aspects of Print, Media & Journalism was so well received that future print projects have already been planned, and a class site visit to see the Printing Presses in action has been scheduled for October.
